Hello, I’m Emma, an illustrator based in London. I specialise in line drawings, flat colour and patterns. I also make 3D paper models
Although most of my 2D work is digital, everything starts out on paper with lively, clean drawings made in ink. I colour these digitally or with paper collage. My 3D work consists of scenes constructed from hand cut cartridge paper.
I grew up by the sea in Devon and now live in east London with a large flock of imaginary animals, who often sneak into my work and a real dog who often sneaks into my kitchen. I like noodles, tea and feeding the birds outside my window. Most of all, I like making things. As a huge fan of books, I am also a trustee of the charity the Little Free Library project.
Some recent clients include: BBC, The Guardian, Construction Manager magazine, KPMG, Time Out magazine, Meringue Girls, Nestle, Shapeshifter Productions, RCA, Old Tat Magazine, Symonds Cider, The Observer Food Monthly. Some recent shows include: House of Illustration Illustrators’ Fair, Secret 7″ at Mother London, RCA Secret, Amwell Print Fair, The Things I Think About When I Think About Thinking at The Hanbury, #BAGSIE at The Proud Archivist. I was also a selected artist at the London Illustration Fair 2015.
My prints and other illustrated goods are stocked at the House of Illustration in Kings Cross and Craft Guerrilla in Walthamstow or are available to buy in my online shop www.helloemma.tictail.com
